Hello Readers!
OK, I was going to call it a night and really and truly I have a lot of work to get caught up on, but I wanted to share with you my addiction called Pinterest! You know Pinterest right? Its a virtual pin board where you can pin internet photos, recipes, videos and fabulous finds onto your own personal dream board. The awesome part about pinterest is its free and you can find other pinners who share your same interest and eye for design and all things you love. I have boards ranging from decorating to Paris inspired. Pinterest helps you organize ideas and items so you can go back and look at them later. Pinterest is perfect for crafters. You can create a board that is a wish list of your favorite craft items. You can also pin your favorite craft tutorials and DIY projects. Forget bookmarking--this is like virtual bookmarking people! Its awesome and I confess I am an addict. Check me out on Pinterest.
Hello Readers! Well, here I am. I have been sorta lurking for quite some time. This is my first post that I am actually going to publish. My blog has been inactive for several years and there are a few reasons for that. The main one is I have been focused on other projects and work. Now, I am ready to commit to giving you some interesting tidbits of information on all things that I like and love. You make think this blog will be strictly about writing and that is not exactly the case. While I may talk about my writings, what interests me in the writing or news world, I plan on mixing things up a bit. The interesting part is that you'll get to hear it from my perspective.

My life is crazy most days. I am a freelance writer and I work from my home office or the occasional coffee shop, car seat or library desk. I juggle several clients and I write a lot, but rarely do I take time out to write for me. That is where this blog comes in.

I sort of fell into freelancing back in 2007. I've always been a creative writer but never really knew what to do with it. I found Associated Content in 07 and fell in love with it right away--writing about whatever I wanted and getting paid (just a little) to do it. I was very rusty--hell I'm still very rusty. I have no Journalism or English degree, but have learned to craft the art of copywriting--ok still learning. I think I can write pretty good copy and I actually enjoy it, so I must say it is a bit of a challenge to write like this--blog style or "me style" as I like to call it.

I enjoy being outdoors, I love to camp. I like to garden and plant flowers. Most of all, I love being out on my deck with my laptop, working and writing with a warm Great Lakes breeze blowing through my hair! My newest love is papercrafting. Making cards, tags and accessories--love, love it! I also just finished writing a novel and I am working on my second one. More about those later.

All I can say is at the moment, I am trying to get this blog up off the ground. I promise you it'll be filled with all kinds of interesting tidbits of information from how to do something, my latest treasures, opportunities for work at home enthusiasts, food stuff, art, scrapbooking, pets & pugs, relationship advice and much much more! I will also share with you some of the coolest things I discover.

Please stay tuned and thanks for visiting.

Hugs,
Julie
